Make a positive change, switch TV to acTiVity
Telly addicts will resist, but persevere, suggest other activities, turn it off when they're not looking, split TV time into shorter sessions, let them choose 1 or 2 programmes then change activity...switch on the hoover! After making the break many children have told me how boring telly actually is...and they're right!
Play the day away!
All children, even teenagers, need to play. This stimulates their learning, their imagination, their bodies, their social skills and helps keep them healthy and happy.
Encourage Balance
The happiest chidlren are those who balance TV with activity, fatty foods with healthy foods, work with play, friends with time alone, study with relaxation, activity with rest
